Peter Morrissey has been a dominant fashion designer in Australian fashion for twenty years. Continually innovative since he launched his first collection in the wildly creative early-80’s Sydney fashion scene, Morrissey developed his talent as part of the OX co-op in Darlinghurst in 1982. From this was born the Morrissey Edmiston partnership, which opened stores in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Morrissey established his Rock 'n' Roll credentials over the next years, dressing Kylie Minogue, Michael Hutchence and INXS and other major stars. Supermodels Elle Macpherson and Helena Christensen became fans and Morrissey’s designs were sold in NYC and LA.

The new label MORRISSEY was launched in 1997. Designed with a modern lifestyle in mind, yet brimming with individuality MORRISSEY collections always sparkle with a cool and sensual attitude capturing the essence of the label.

M Webster Holdings has owned the label since 2006 and the spring collection for 2009 was the label’s last. But Peter Morrissey bounced back with a fashion label in the chain store Big W.
